When the Big Brother Mzansi housemates finally stepped
out of the Big Brother House after three months of isolation, they returned to a Mzansi that had moved on - with them missing out on the latest conversations, drama, and new entertainment.
To tap into the hype of their return and their new roles as Mzansi Magic ambassadors, we flipped the script.
The Insight:
While the housemates were away, Mzansi Magic had introduced a slate of brand-new shows. They had no idea what they’d missed.
It felt like they were stepping into a whole new South Africa.
The Idea:
“Welcome back to Mzansi” - but with a magical twist.
The Execution:
We created a high-impact TVC that sees the housemates transported directly from the Big Brother house into a cozy lounge, almost like magic. As they turn on the TV, they’re not just watching Mzansi Magic’s latest telenovelas - they’re in them.
Using clever editing and shooting their scenes in the actual sets, we seamlessly incorporated the housemates into iconic scenes from the channel’s new hit shows: iThonga, Genesis, and Inimba.
The result? A bold, imaginative welcome home - and the perfect introduction to the next chapter of Mzansi Magic.
